Who We Are

Maggie White is the Founder and CEO of Global Voices. She completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University, majoring in Spanish and Education. She then earned a Master's degree in Supervision and Administration from Johns Hopkins University, followed by an Executive Master’s degree in Leadership from the Georgetown McDonough School of Business.

Maggie began her career teaching Spanish and English as a Second Language, and leading middle and high school World Language Departments in Baltimore. She later joined DC Public Schools, where she held various roles including Teacher Evaluator, World Language Specialist, Director of Professional Learning, and ultimately Deputy Chief of World Languages and Global Education for the Office of Teaching and Learning. Transitioning to the educational technology sector, she focused on virtual learning and creating more efficient and equitable school schedules to ensure all students are college and career ready.

Maggie specializes in language acquisition, global education, educational technology, professional learning design, the whole learner approach, and curriculum development. She is also an avid yogi, a certified hot yoga instructor, and spends her weekends providing enriching educational experiences for her two sons, Henry and Hudson, and her dog Winter, in Washington, D.C.
