Global Education Curriculum

Encouraging Young Explorers to Embrace Diversity

Why is Global Education Vital in Early Childhood?

During the first five years, a child's brain undergoes unparalleled development. This critical period profoundly shapes a child's learning journey and future success in both academics and life. Introducing a global curriculum during these formative years serves as a powerful means to nurture students' comprehensive academic, social, and emotional growth. As children transition from kindergarten to middle school, global education equips them with the tools to take meaningful actions, enhancing their own lives and enabling them to positively impact the world.

By teaching children to value diversity and appreciate the rich tapestry of our communities and globe, they gain insights into inclusivity and intercultural literacy. Moreover, global education fosters a forward-looking mindset and enhances critical thinking skills.

Global Education Curriculum

Our global education philosophy is grounded in the Asia Society’s Four Domains of Global Competence (outlined below). We firmly believe that young learners who engage in conversations and interactions that expose them to diverse cultures become more productive and accepting citizens.

  1. Investigate the World

  2. Recognize Perspectives

  3. Communicate Ideas

  4. Take Action

A typical 30-minute lesson includes:

  • Welcome and introduction to a new culture

  • Exposure to elements of the new culture through song, dance, storytelling

  • Activity related to the new culture
