Our Language Immersion Curriculum
Global Voices leads every language experience fully immersed in the target language to give young explorers the opportunity to use contextual and physical cues and images to elicit meaning.
Each lesson is based on The ACTFL World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages that create a roadmap to guide learners to develop competence to communicate effectively and interact with cultural understanding.
We focus on the following areas to develop language skills in context with our students:
Communication
Cultures
Connections
Comparisons
Communities
A typical 30-minute lesson includes:
Welcome songs
Introduction to the central question and answer of the day in context
Activity using associated vocabulary
